Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce Receives Accreditation Renewal from Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada

Accreditation through 2031 continues a commitment to national standards of excellence that began in 2012

The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the renewal of its national accreditation through 2031, continuing a commitment to organizational excellence and high standards of service that began with the Chamber’s first accreditation in 2012.

The Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada (CACC) announced the 2027 to 2031 accredited Chambers on September 28, recognizing the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce among 27 Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade across Canada that achieved or renewed their accreditation.

Accreditation is the highest mark of Chamber excellence in Canada and recognizes Chambers that successfully meet comprehensive national standards for leadership, governance and operations.
For the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce, maintaining accreditation represents an ongoing commitment to accountability, transparency and strong governance while continually improving how the organization serves its members and Kingston’s broader business community.

“Maintaining our accreditation reflects the standards we set for ourselves and the responsibility we have to the businesses and organizations we serve,” said Karen Cross, CEO of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce. “Our members trust the Chamber to represent their interests, create opportunities for connection and growth, and provide leadership on the issues that matter to our business community. This renewal reinforces our commitment to earning that trust every day and continuously strengthening the way we serve Kingston’s business community.”

Since first becoming accredited in 2012, the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce has continued to evolve alongside Kingston’s business community, strengthening its advocacy, programs, partnerships and member services to respond to the changing needs of local businesses.

The renewed accreditation extends the Chamber’s recognition through 2031, bringing the organization close to two decades of continuous accreditation and reinforcing its commitment to maintaining high standards for the years ahead.

As the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 185th anniversary in 2026, the accreditation renewal represents another important milestone in the organization’s long-standing commitment to serving and strengthening Kingston’s business community while continuing to evolve for the future.
