The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce extends its congratulations to Mayor-Elect Conny Glenn and all newly elected and returning members of Kingston City Council following the 2026 municipal election.
As Kingston enters a new chapter of municipal leadership, the Chamber looks forward to working collaboratively with the Mayor and Council to strengthen our local economy, support business growth, and ensure Kingston continues to be a great place to live, work, and invest.
"On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, and the business community we represent, we extend our congratulations to Conny Glenn on her election as Mayor of Kingston," said Karen Cross, CEO of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce. "This is an exciting time for our city, and we look forward to building a strong and productive relationship with the new Council."
As Council begins setting its strategic direction for the next four years, the Chamber sees an important opportunity to work together to create an environment where businesses can succeed, investment is encouraged, and our community continues to grow.
"Kingston has tremendous strengths, from our talented workforce and educational institutions to our innovative entrepreneurs and established businesses," added Cross. "We also know there are challenges that can make it difficult for businesses to grow and invest. By working together to remove barriers, strengthen our infrastructure, and plan for future growth, we can create new opportunities for our entire community."
The Chamber remains committed to being a constructive and engaged partner, bringing the voice of the business community to the table and working with municipal leaders to advance solutions that support Kingston's long-term economic prosperity.
"When our businesses thrive, our entire community benefits. It's about creating jobs, attracting investment, and building a strong, vibrant Kingston for generations to come," said Cross. "We look forward to working with Mayor-Elect Glenn and the new Council to build on Kingston's strengths and move our city forward together."
