The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it has officially achieved Rainbow Registered accreditation, a national designation recognizing businesses and organizations committed to creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for 2SLGBTQI+ employees, customers, members, and communities.
Administered by Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), the Rainbow Registered program sets a national standard for equity, diversity, and inclusion through a rigorous accreditation process focused on policies, practices, training, and ongoing accountability.
The accreditation reflects The Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and ensuring that diversity and inclusion remain central to its organizational values and community leadership.
“We are incredibly proud to become Rainbow Registered, being the 11th Chamber of Commerce in Canada and the 6th in Ontario to achieve this designation,” said Karen Cross, CEO of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce. “As The Chamber celebrates its 185th anniversary this year, this recognition is especially meaningful. It reflects both our long-standing commitment to serving our community and our continued dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who engages with The Chamber, including our members, staff, partners, and the broader community. We know that strong communities and strong economies are built on inclusion, respect, and belonging, and we remain committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in meaningful and lasting ways.”
The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce joins a growing network of organizations across Canada that are demonstrating leadership in creating more inclusive workplaces and experiences.
