A manual for legal experts to help interpret the Employment Standards Act, 2000, the Employment Protection for Foreign Nationals Act and their regulations.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has updated the Employment Standards Policy & Interpretation (P&I) Manual to include recent legislative and program policy updates.
The P&I Manual explains how the ministry interprets, administers and enforces the Employment Standards Act, the Employment Protection for Foreign Nationals Act, and their associated regulations. The manual is available at Ontario.ca/labour. Updates are made as required. The manual is now current as of April 25, 2023.
