Love Kingston Beer

Join the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce and Spearhead Brewing Company in raising a toast to local small businesses.

As an extension of the Love Kingston shop local campaign, the Chamber, in partnership with Spearhead Brewing Company, is launching a small batch limited release light lager which will be available through their Spearhead retail store at 675 Development Drive, website, and select Kingston-area retailers and restaurants.

“We continue to seek ways to remind Kingstonians of the importance of shopping local,” said Karen Cross, Chamber CEO. “We’re grateful to Chamber member Spearhead for their support of the campaign during this difficult time. Please join us in enjoying a great, made-in-Kingston product and know that, by doing so, you’re helping our local employers.”

“Here at Spearhead, we know firsthand how damaging the Covid-19 pandemic has been to small business,” said Josh Hayter, Spearhead President. “We believe in helping whenever we can and are thrilled to raise a pint with our fellow Kingstonians to help our small businesses recover.”

The light lager will feature more than just the distinctive Love Kingston colours, however. $0.25 from the sale of every can will be donated to support a fund for a Kingston business in need. Recipients will be determined by an independent panel. More details will be announced through the Chamber in the coming months.

The Love Kingston limited edition cans will be available while supplies last and retails for $3.25 per tallboy can. To order yours, visit spearheadbeer.com to place an online order. Business owners wishing to stock the Love Kingston light lager should contact sales@spearheadbeer.com.

Organizations wishing to contribute to the business support fund should contact kcross@kingstonchamber.ca.

While anyone can love Kingston, to enjoy this product you must be 19 years or older. Please enjoy responsibly.

About Spearhead Brewing Company

Spearhead Brewing Company was founded in 2011 as a contract brewery dedicated to the centuries old tradition of brewing quality craft beer. Their commitment to quality and tradition led the way to their successful flagship brew, Hawaiian Style Pale Ale all the way to their new non-alcoholic sparkling botanical water, Akwa. Since opening their doors in Kingston, Ontario, their drive to release delicious and unique brews that embody the mantra, “Beer Without Boundaries,” is stronger than ever. Each release is carefully thought out by the father and son brew team, using time honoured traditional methods with a series of non-traditional ingredients, resulting in their signature Spearhead style.
