Description

Join the team from Response IT and Symbiotic Networks as they discuss the very real need for Cyber Security and detail the steps you can take to mitigate attacks on your own network.

Put a human face on an actual ransomware attack by hearing from a local business owner who was not prepared for such a threat. Learn the true cost of ransomware which, in this case, included a ransomware payment, new hardware, labour charges, and legal fees.

Ransomware attacks have significantly increased, year over year, creating a lucrative business for cybercriminals. These criminals have abundant resources to facilitate increasingly complicated attacks, they are well funded and well organized with unbelievable technical depth and focus. The only way to prevent these attacks is to be prepared in advance.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce fully supports the education of its members on Data Privacy and the Kingston Chamber of Commerce is offering you this opportunity to learn, participate, and protect yourself.
