Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce - Annual General Meeting
Join us on Thursday April 12th, 2018 at the Annual General Meeting of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce , the Membership will be asked to approve the Audited Financial Statements of the Corporation for the year ended December 31st, 2017 , update on the advocacy work and the year in review.
Joining us as guest speaker this year is Troy Reeb, Senior Vice-President, News Station Operations, Global News.
Troy will present on the importance of local media, the challenges of "fake news," and how the media can work together with the Kingston business community to ensure the public is properly informed and supported.

As Senior Vice-President, Troy Reeb is responsible for all news and related programming on Global and its associated websites and new media platforms. This includes the network’s flagship newscast Global National, as well local news operations from all 12 Global stations across Canada.
Serving in Global News’ top position since 2008, Reeb has managed the addition of new newscasts in every market, and the move to providing over 80 hours a week of local news programming across the network. He has also overseen the establishment of new foreign news bureaus in London, Beijing and New Delhi, and helped launch Global News’ first investigative newsmagazine 16x9, as well as Canada’s most-watched political affairs program The West Block with Tom Clark. Recently, Reeb spearheaded Global News’ commitment to covering breaking news through online and social media channels through its Digital First campaign.
